You’re Not Special. A Mental Health Tip For You,

We live in a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know.

Don’t Let Them Hurt You

It doesn’t matter which side are you in, the target or the person expressing his/her self,

When you’re the target, the spotlight effect makes you think that you’re the center of attention or that you are misjudged.

No one is special, at the end of the day, no one really cares about you or what are you doing.

They might do it because they hate themselves and can’t figure it out, because they want to have a piece of you, admire you, or again they don’t care, and you’re not special.

The Myth of Personal Development

The self growth myth that you can be whatever you want and be #1 is just a sales speech by an under achiever who is making money selling you a dream. There will always be one and only one #1, not 7B leaders, Billionaires, CEOs, or world class athletes.

The metric should be the delta between yourself yesterday and where are you at today. If you don’t make progress, it means that you’re regressing.

The solution is with you, since you were born. Be yourself and keep your chin up, life is short, stay focused, persistent, grateful and seek growth.

Is It Your Fault That You’re The Bad Guy?

On the other hand, you, the one having an opinion about everything and everyone, keep calm and do this.

When you’re feeling an urge to express yourself in a negative way, in regards of another person, ask yourself why you’re doing it? over and over again, at the third why you will start questioning the fact that you’re doing it just to hurt people, and you probably want to reach some of the goals they were able to achieve or the same feeling they do.

Knowing the fact that you keep procrastinating and not focus on your life and goals can lead you to hate yourself and everybody doing good or checking boxes in their lives.

This can be a symptom of suffering from the impostor syndrome that’s pushing to not focus on your goals and not achieve them.

But not necessarily that, maybe your goals are not SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-based) or you’re working on your weaknesses rather than strengths.

An antidote for you will be “Gratefulness” and “Acceptance”. The first one will, keep you grounded and the other will help embrace yourself and love yourself for what you’re.

Conclusion

If you are reading till the end, (well, thank you) I want to let you know that you can be both, we’re humans. But be kind and focus on yourself.

Why I am writing this? you should not let people get under your skin a push you out of your track, and you have no reason to hurt people because of the pain you’re suffering from.

P.S: This is just my personal opinion.
